Want to make money from twitter? Course I do, but how could it be possible?

A couple days a go John Chow posted an interesting article about it: “Blog Marketing Vs. Email Marketing Vs. Twitter Marketing”

He made an experiment with Twitter by sent the following tweet about one of his Ads out to his followers on March 13. You know what? His tweet campaign resulted $306 of product sales within the first 24 hours! It’s awesome, huh?

Twitter seemed to be ideal for making money for some reason. First, all the URLs are cloaked behind a URL shorten service. You don’t really know if the link you’re clicking on is a normal link or an affiliate link. So if you’re an affiliate marketer, it is a wonderful media for you. Second, if you have 14 k followers as John Chow does, you have a chance to drive thousands unique visitors a day from twitter only!

Getting excited? Well, many people do. That’s why a little while ago Jason Calanis offered twitter $500k for three years for @questions as a suggested user in the sign-up process.

Hardly getting traffic to your website? I visited johnchow.com last night and my eye spotted on an article posted a few days a go: “Exchanging Blog Traffic with Related Posts.”

It was a review on a new wordpress plug-in that help you generate links to other related sites. Related Websites is a highly related traffic exchange from blogtrafficexchange dot com. The idea is you get traffic by trying to direct some of your blog readers to related articles posted around the Blog Traffic Exchange network, and in exchange, other members of the network will do the same for you.

It’s amazing how john chow dot com growing that bigger. John Chow is surely an extra ordinary man. Back in December, 2006 —John Chow started his very aggressive link back campaign. He offered to give a link back for every review of his blog when the text anchor ‘make money/make money online/make money at home/making money/make money from home/make money on the internet‘ was used. Being at the top of his game, John now has over 870 links from various sites. As a result, his johnchow dot com income has grown from $2790.05 in December, 2006 to $12,569.61 in June, 2007, an increase in revenue of $9,779.56.
Last night I visited shoemoney.com just to find out a shocking fact about john chow and google. Google considered him violating their policy during his the campaign. They nuked his website from its list because of it. Being curious, I tried googling for john chow. For my surprised, I couldn’t find john chow dot com there.

There are so many travel-related website, but only a few successfully make money. Nori’s Anquilla-beaches.com is one of them. That is one of the best travel-related websites I ever know, so why don’t we try to learn from her?
I tried to find out what made anguilla-beaches.com different, and I found several lessons.

#1. Choose a topic that you are really interested.
The best thing about anguilla-beaches.com is that the site made by someone really loved it. Nori surely gave all of her heart on it. That’s why the site looks different. When you read it, not only you can gain much information about Anguilla beaches, it will take your mind experiencing the adventures by yourself.

“Favorite Anguilla beaches?” That’s a question we were asked a lot. You see, we had visited all 33 Anguilla beaches during the 30 days we were first here (since then, we’ve been frequent visitors and now we live on Anguilla).
It’s amazing that such a teeny speck of a Caribbean island in the BWI (British West Indies), a mere 35 square miles, could have so much sand!
And I don’t just mean that we saw the 33 Anguilla beaches.
We walked them.
We swam, snorkeled, and snoozed on them.
Of course, we photographed every one of those spectacular Anguilla beaches…

What do you think about  that story? For some of you, that paragraphs I quote from anguilla-beaches.com may be not so interesting. But when I finish my story, I can sure that the only think you want to do is to visit the site!

Why? Because that site was built by a 15 years old girl, and successfully generated thousand of dollars. How awesome!

This inspiring story began in August 2002, when Nori and her father, Ken Evoy, made a trip to the beautiful Carribean island of Anguilla. It was actually their second trip there.
Nori liked the place very much, and all of her adventures there brought her an idea of building a web site.

The Irish group, Cranberries, came out with that album a few years a go. How very right the title is. Just imagine this: everyone in the world is doing something hot, interesting, and profitable activity. Everyone… but you! The only thing you can do, meanwhile, is just sitting and watching them without doing anything. How do you feel?

Do you know that there are about ten million blogs in the internet? It’s seems to be everybody’s doing it, right?

Do you also know that many bloggers successfully generate huge of income from blogging?

In 2006, John Chow - owner of Johnchow.com - had compiled a list of top adsense publishers who were earning a good amount of money with the help of Google Adsense only. Most of them are bloggers.
